Hi, I'm Michelle. I built Perlova for brains like mine.
Founder, late-diagnosed, still figuring it out — one pearl at a time.
For most of my life, I thought I was lazy. Chronically disorganized. Too much and not enough at the same time. I tried every planner, every to-do system, every productivity hack the internet had to offer. Nothing stuck. I'd start strong, miss a day, and spiral into shame. Every app I tried seemed designed to remind me how far behind I was.
At 47, I was finally diagnosed with ADHD. And everything clicked.
The chaos. The forgotten tasks. The paralysis that came before doing anything — even things I actually wanted to do. The way I could hyperfocus for six hours on something random but couldn't reply to an email for three days. The shame of knowing I was smart and capable but feeling completely stuck anyway. It all made sense.
But here's the thing: when I went looking for tools built for ADHD brains, I found the same apps everyone else was using. Too many features. Too many notifications. Streaks that punished you for having a bad day. Systems designed for neurotypical people pretending to be ADHD-friendly.
So I built Perlova. Not to be perfect. Not to optimize. Just to finally have a planner that meets me where I am — even on the days when where I am is "lying on the couch, unable to start anything."
Perlova isn't about doing more. It's about doing something. One tiny thing, matched to your actual energy. And then celebrating it — because it counts. Because you showed up. Because every tiny win is a pearl. And pearls are worth something.
I hope this app gives you the same thing diagnosis gave me: permission to stop fighting your own brain, and start working with it instead.
